Pishbol Privacy Policy

We don't sell your data. We don't use it for ads. We don't train AI on it. We use it for one thing: generating your digest.

Pishbol is a YouTube analytics tool that translates your channel data into plain English. Pishbol is currently in closed beta. By requesting early access or creating an account, you agree to this policy.

What We Collect

Account information. Your name and email. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your Google profile name, email, and avatar.

YouTube channel data. When you connect your channel, Pishbol uses YouTube API Services in read-only mode to pull:

• Channel name, description, and subscriber count
• Video metadata — titles, descriptions, publish dates, durations, and tags
• Analytics data — views, watch time, impressions, click-through rate, average view duration, average view percentage, subscriber changes, likes, comments, and shares

We cannot post, upload, edit, delete, or take any action on your YouTube channel. Ever.

By using Pishbol, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service and acknowledge the Google Privacy Policy.

Technical information. Basic device and usage information needed to operate, debug, and secure the service.

Early access requests. If you submit an early access request, we store your email and optional message to manage beta access.

How We Use Your Data

We use your data for one purpose: to generate and deliver your analytics digest. This includes calculating your channel health score, detecting significant shifts in your channel performance (anomaly detection), detecting momentum patterns in your video performance, and emailing your digest to you when something notable happens. Digests are not sent every period — Pishbol only emails you when your data shows a meaningful change or shift worth your attention.

Pishbol's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

What We Don't Do

• We do not sell your data
• We do not use your data for advertising
• We do not use tracking pixels or third-party analytics tools
• We do not train AI models on your data
• We cannot take any action on your YouTube channel

Data Retention

Pishbol stores 90 days of rolling analytics data per connected channel. Older data is automatically deleted. When you delete your account, we permanently delete all your data within 30 days. If Pishbol is ever discontinued, we will notify active users by email and delete all account data within 30 days.

Third Parties

• Google / YouTube — to authenticate your account and pull your analytics via YouTube API Services
• Google Gemini — to generate the plain English text in your digest. Data is sent to Gemini under Google's paid Gemini API terms, which prohibit Google from training on your data. Pishbol uses Gemini's context caching feature, which temporarily holds prompt context for a short period to reduce cost; cached content expires automatically.
• Cloud hosting infrastructure — to store your data and run the application
• Email delivery infrastructure — to send digest emails and account notifications

Your Rights

You can:

• Access your data — request a copy of what Pishbol holds about you
• Update or delete your account at any time from your settings (deletion is permanent)
• Disconnect your YouTube channel at any time, which stops all data syncing
• Revoke Pishbol's Google access at myaccount.google.com/permissions
• Unsubscribe via the one-click link in every digest email

California Residents

If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your data, and opt out of any sale. Pishbol does not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, email hello@pishbol.com.

Data Security

We store OAuth tokens encrypted at rest, transmit all data over HTTPS, and never store your Google password. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users without undue delay.

Pishbol is in beta. While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no system is perfectly secure.

Jurisdiction

Pishbol is operated from the United States. If you access Pishbol from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

Children

Pishbol is not intended for users under the age of 13, matching YouTube's own minimum age requirement. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as Pishbol evolves. For minor changes, we will update the "last updated" date above. For material changes that affect how we collect or use your data, we will notify you through an in-app notice the next time you sign in, or by email, before they take effect.
